DIRECTION, COMMITMENT, RESULTS

As you may know, Universal Commodity Corporation has made a business decision in December 1998 to no longer accept and trade retail commodity accounts. This, however, does not mean we have ceased from operating as a commodity brokerage firm.

To the contrary!

We have been working feverishly over the last few months, designing, developing and cultivating an investment program that for may years was exclusively limited to super-rich individuals, pension funds, municipalities, institution investors, and the overall elite community.

You might say we have switched gears and changed direction.

In actuality, we have embarked upon a dimension of investing that offers you real concrete advantages in trading as well as a significant opportunity to explore the fascinating commodity arena the way it was perhaps meant to be experienced all along.

In the past, successful commodity trading results may have been nothing more than a pipe dream to most people.

That is no longer the case!

The Ultimate Key In Achieving Excellent Performance, We Believe, Is The Ability To Produce Above Average Annual Returns Over A Period Of Time.

Some studies indicate that returns in excess of 20% fit that description.

To put things in perspective, the Dow Jones Industrial has averaged around 10% per year over the last 100 years or so.

Obviously, no one can guarantee profitable returns on any investment. And, of course, whenever there is an opportunity for higher returns, there is also the associated risk of loss.

Nevertheless, we are extremely enthusiastic and take tremendous pleasure in introducing you to the world of Managed Futures and more specifically.....

The Format of Managed Commodity Investing May Seem Somewhat Obscure... But The Plain Facts Are Definitely Worthy Of Serious Review And Consideration.

Investment management professionals have been using managed futures for more
than 20 years.

In 1998, it was estimated that nearly $40 Billion was under management by trading advisors. (Source: MAR Managed Account Reports)

AMATEURS with BROKERS vs MANAGED ACCOUNTS

History has taught us that on the whole, Managed Futures Accounts have proven to be considerably more profitable, with an appreciably higher success rate than accounts individually traded.

U. S. Government studies show that a majority of amateurs who trade futures or options on their own lose. In fact, data suggest that as many as 90% lose a substantial portion if not all of their investment capital while going at it alone, even with the guidance of a bonafide broker.

For years, market participation has been limited to hedgers: those whose involvement with the futures market related to their commercial requirement to establish a price for raw materials, interest rates etc. and SPECULATORS: those who trade the futures markets attempting to profit from price movement. It is only since the 1980s that we have seen the development of a third major market participant, THE MANAGED FUTURES INVESTORS: those who, like a futures speculator, attempts to profit from price movement. However, unlike the speculator who makes his or her own buy and sell decisions, the managed futures investor employs a third party or decision maker- a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA).

A CTA is similar to a stock manager or mutual fund manager in that the managed futures investor, through a written agreement employs a CTA to make the buy and sell decisions for the investor. While professional management can in no way insure success, research has shown that Professional Commodity Trading Advisors do experience an appreciably higher success rate than individual amateur traders.

UNIVERSAL'S CTA SELECTION PROCESS

Of the multitude of advisors available with published track records, we hand select only those CTAs who we believe offer the exceptionally potent trading talent required to successfully achieve the desired results and objectives of our clientele. The CTAs available through Universal are experienced and veteran professionals judged solely on their consistency and performance. They are considered to be some of the most sought after money managers domestically and internationally.

With A Universal Managed Account, You Capitalize On All Their Skills

Our CTAs strongly believe in helping the smaller investor, accepting accounts as small as $10,000, with some of the best performance records in the industry. Many traders with track records that aren't even close to theirs, require minimum balances well over $100,000.
